Hotels

Our Flagship hotel, the Washington Hilton on Connecticut Avenue, is located in a great neighborhood, central to DC. The Hilton is within an easy walk of two Metro (subway) stations, and only a few Metro stops from Verizon Center.

Offering a great rate, it is the location of many of our evening activities and would provide you with a great place to stay, including access to one of the best outdoor swimming pools in DC, great for the July weather. Please check their website to learn more.

Many hotels in Washington, DC and surrounding areas have provided special discounted rates for Kalachakra 2011. Most hotels are less than 30 minutes away from Verizon Center and all are either within walking distance from a Metro station, or offer shuttle service to the closest Metro station. Some rooms have kitchens and can accommodate up to 4 people.

Bed & Breakfasts

There are over 40 bed & breakfast accommodations in Washington, DC; however, availability is limited due to their small size. Each property is unique, and all locations are either within walking distance to a Metro station or close to Verizon Center.

Hostels

There are several hostels in the Washington, DC area.  Most of the hostels have large bunk bed style accommodations, some are more expensive than the dorm accommodations, and not all have lock boxes.

Dormitories

In an effort to offer lower-cost accommodations to Kalachakra attendees, we have negotiated a contract with American University. Reservations can now be made at their dormitories for Kalachakra attendees.

AU can accommodate 250-300 people and rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Rooms are singles, doubles, and triples. To make your reservation, please download the form, complete it and follow the directions on the form to submit it.
