Credit Card Duplicate Charges on July 6, 2011
at the Kalachakra for World Peace

Due to technical issues, attendees who purchased books and merchandise by credit card on 7/6/11 from our official store inside the Verizon Center were charged the purchase amount twice. All the purchases that day were "batched" two times. According to our bank, Capital One Merchant Services, this happened because the first batch did not go through properly and a second one was attempted. In the end, both went through. The bank's procedure should have reversed the first one automatically but this unfortunately had not happened.

We would like to apologise to all attendees affected by this issue. We have worked with Capital One Merchant Service to resolve the issue and accordingly refund credits were issued on all affected accounts on 7/28/2011 and 7/29/2011.
